OHISABURI DESU NE

Nothing like to trips to the emergency room to make me keep a journal again.  But about the emergency room...

I wasnt feeling well and my parents were out of town, so Josh spent the night to take care of me. (when my parents found out they were happy and very grateful) I'd taken a Ketorolac at 9ish, then around ten i started to itch like fuck. like chicken pox. So I took a shower and put on some hydroquartazone (sp?) creme and went to bed. (Had a most excelent dream that will make a brilliant detctive story )  But I was rudely awakened at three by Josh because i was shaking so bad. For those of you who spent the night with me, i wasn't shouting, I shook so bad I woke Josh up. Before I turned on the light, I felt there was something wrong in my left had. Turning on the light showed that it was too swollen at my first row of knuckles for my finger to bend.   I called my parents in San Antonio and asked if I should go to a minor emergency clinic. My the end of the phone call i was near pannicked and wanted to see a doctor. (not my parents fault, but the fact that I woke up with a catchers mit of a hand was just sinking in)  MINOR EMERGENCIES CLINICS CLOSE AT 12:30.

We ended up going to Methodist Hospital in Sugar Land. I was given a steroid, benadryl and adrenaline (I've stopped caring about spelling them right) and sent on my way after a half-hour observation period. If only they'd held me for 45 minutes.  We went down 59, and by the time we hit Grand Parkway I was worse than ever before. Not scratching the overwelming itches covering my body cuase the muscles in my arms and legs to convulse and contract uncontrolably.  We got home and i was worried. Josh went to by my some Calamine lotion and while he was gone I chased down the hospital's number. The man on the phone said that it sounded like a second allergic reaction, and If I didn't come in now, I should come in if it got any worse, and If it got any worse I should call an ambulance to take me in.  Josh got back and i went to put the calamine lotion on, when I realized that the rash that had originally been on my palms and wrists when my hand was swolen was now covering all of my forearms, the inside of my uper arms, my shoulders, chest, stomach, thighs, and calves.  Tha calamine lotion got ditched and we went back to the emergency room.

The new nurse who treated me saw my arms and winced, then saw the rest of my body and looked worried.  I should mention now that after we went to the Emergancy room the first time, (3) we called my parents to say I was told I had hives,(4)  but they were already on their way home.  When we told them we were back at the hospital, they called in a friend who lives off of sweetwater to be my 'stand-in-mommy' until they arrived. (5) I saw a doctor the second time who said it looked like i was allergic to the carrying agentys in Benadryl. He gave me more adrenaline to distract me until the original steroids kicked in.

My parent arrived by that time.  I was released again and this time it went better. Josh and I parted ways in the parking lot at 6 so he could get some sleep.  I don't need sleep. I read GTO for two hours and the rash went away mostly.  My shoulders and neck still itch but my skin is clear. Both hands have almost returned to normal size, and I can make fists with them without pain, so I am no longer incapacitated.

As for what happened between October 6th and 3:00 this mornign...same old. I've almost finished and oil Painting that has +50 hours of work on it.  I'm learning to sculpt, and the statue of Jesus in the Methodist hospital was made by my teacher. For those who missed it, I've become a doll enthusiast.  Chrisi and Natalia got to see me fawn over a doll as they were over the day it was delivered....

time for more calamine lotion. And, as I went through the trouble of posting, you damn well better comment!

In other news: THIS WEEK SUCKED! I got so stressed that i got a migrane...

In other news: PHYACIA IS 60!

slightly related: Hot Topic now carries WoW t-shirts, pins, and badges.

AND BLANCO FOUND A HOME! with a lovely family that has two girls and a dog they rescued from CAPS a few monthes ago. They thought she needed a friend and had been looking into getting a Lab... I'm very impressed with them because 1) they new how much CAPS and other organizations kill 2) they paid the adoption fee to Friends For Life, but said montrosse was too far a drive, so they'd take him to their vet and PAY EXTRA!

tired of typing now... As always, will try to updated more often.

Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead
By Tom Stoppard
see related

have finished both Crime and Punishment and Kingdom Hearts 2. thats the fastest i ever beat a game, in days nothours.  On to reading Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead, a prime piece of absurdity, by all standards.

See why i dont update weekly? i dont have much more to say...

went to shiokazecon, but didn't see Geo. Got a new corset for a shockingly low price and my parents say it's the most flattering one i own.  Also, the guy from sagusa books said he could special order some less popular titles for me, and i can get them at A-kon.  And got three new toys: a teddybear suit Lain plushy, a Kumagoro (Gravitation) plushy, and a Volks A-mold (doll). Funnily enough, Josh got a Tokyo Marui Gloc (sp?) and sight from the same people who sold me the doll, but the vendor specialized in J-rock and resulting paraphanalia, from which Josh bought a Moi Dix Mois cd, because they (or atleast their new stuff) are suprisingly heavy.  YOU KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS? OCTOPUS GUITAR!!
